How to launch your ad campaign at StreamHERO

There are two advertising models at StreamHERO: CPM (cost per mille, i.e. 1,000 impressions) and CPA (cost per action). You can read more about them in our guide on earning with StreamHERO. In this article, we’re going to show how to set up an ad.

How do I set up and launch CPM ads?

Automated widget for CPM ads at StreamHERO

CPM ads work through the Automated Widget. You’ll see its menu right from the dashboard. It’s turned on by default, but just in case, make sure that the toggle is switched to the On position.

Now go to the Settings on the main ribbon above and choose Automated Widget.

There are three parameters you need to set up:

  • Ad frequency. Set the maximum frequency of ad display that is acceptable for you. The factual number of displays may differ from what you set but it’ll never be higher than this.
  • Choose categories. If you prefer not to work with a certain category of advertisers, you can exclude it in the settings.
  • Artificial stream delay. If you use a stream delay in your OBS, set the same value for StreamHERO to make sure the broadcast and ad display are synchronized.

StreamHERO will save and update the settings automatically.

💡 Note: Before StreamHERO shows ad banners on your stream, you’ll need to set up an overlay in your broadcasting software.
